What is Person Service?
Person Service is a way for clinics to search for patient (client) data based on their SSN, first, middle and last name and insert or update them for a new or existing client.
App Activation
To activate the Person Service, you can go to apps in the program and the app is located under ‘Essential Apps’ section:
Requirements to activate the app are activated Electronic Messages app and that the CVR to be filled out. There is a special case when a clinic has a child organization number, in which case that number will be used to make the API calls against the EDI Microservice. You can set the child organization number in the Settings page, under ‘Your Profile’:
The activation will show the initial introduction screen, followed by two screens that will check for correct delegation of rights and agreement signed. If any of the two are not valid, an error would be shown and the user needs to refer to the links on how to do that, and then come back.
App Settings
Once the app is activated, you can always check the status of delegation and agreement in your settings page:
The delegation or agreement might either expire, get revoked, or become unsigned because you’ve changed the CVR number of your clinic. Use the links to fix the issues, come back to the settings screen and click ‘Refresh settings’ to check whether the agreements are valid again.
Search for client
When you want to create new client, but only have limited data, you can opt to use Person Service to find the corresponding client and import it’s full dataset.
In ‘Add Client’ modal click the ‘Search in Person Service’ link:
That would in turn show another modal to search for your client. If there are no results, you will get the corresponding message:
If the search yields results, it will be shown in form of a clickable list:
Once you click one of the results, the full data set would be fetched from the EDI Microservice and inserted into the ‘Add client’ modal fields. You are free to further edit any of the fields and fill out any of the missing data too - afterwards you just click to save your client’s data and you’re done.
Update client
To update an existing client with new data, go to client view screen, and click ‘Edit’ button:
Once the ‘Edit Client’ modal opens, click the ‘Update via Person Service’ button:
